Reliance BIG Home Video Releases ‘Shrek Forever After‘ on Bluray & DVD

DreamWorks Animation’s epic SHREK franchise makes an ogre-sized grand finale on DVD and Blu-ray on Thursday, December 9, 2010. The most successful animated franchise of all time,the Shrek quadrilogy has grossed nearly $3 billion at the worldwide box office and Shrek Forever after – the Final Chapter has grossed $731M worldwide. Millions of fans the world over have been waiting for the hilarious and heartfelt conclusion of the beloved SHREK saga and for the release of Shrek Forever After – The Final Chapter. This holiday season audiences will celebrate the arrival of the ultimate gift as the complete collection of all four films along with the Final Chapter debuts together for the first time ever.
One of the top 10 films of this year, Shrek Forever After was heralded by audiences and critics around the world as the fitting finale to one of the most entertaining sagas in film history. To create initial hype and excitement for Shrek Forever After, a pre-booking offer was run at select retail stores across India as well as on Flipkart.com. People who pre-booked the DVD and Blu-ray received a free DVD of Shrek the Halls.
Special tie-ups have been done to create awareness about the release of the title. Shrek titles will be available through Hobby Ideas, a Pidilite owned company in all their outlets across India. The Ogre will visit malls in person!. The visit has been planned across four cities in India. In this visit, the Ogre will meet and greet people in select retail outlets and malls.
To create excitement at the retail level, a Chrisas tree is being put up at select retail stores pan-India. This tree will be decorated with Shrek characters and will convey the message “Have a Shrektacular Chrisas”. This tree will be on display during Chrisas and New Year to add to the holiday feeling.
